PORT CARLING  (The “Hub” of the 3 largest in land Muskoka Lakes)

A quaint Village in the summer months.  The Village is bustling with activities, stores, and restaurants, active with tourists, cottagers and year round residents.  Located on highway 118, between Bracebridge, Bala and Foot’s Bay.  The Indian River runs through the community giving access to Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph and Lake Muskoka.  Host to the Muskoka Lakes Association antique boat show every 2 years.  Host to a Summer Music festival.


 

BALA- Home of the Cranberry Festival

The heart of the Moon River at the falls from Lake Muskoka.  A charming Village with a summer weekly farmer’s market, unique retail establishments, and performances/concerts at The Kee to Bala.


 

FOOT’S BAY

Conveniently located at highway 69 and 169, on the shores of Lake Joseph, major business would be Foot’s Bay Marina and Government landing originally a railway stop presently serving the local cottages.


 

MACTIER 

Attractive Village serving residences and cottagers needs for Lake Joseph, Georgian Bay, and the many smaller lakes in the area.  Mactier is a hub for many winter activities, with the many miles of snowmobile trails, ATV trails all located with an hour and a half north of Toronto.


 

MCKELLAR

Located in the Heart of Georgian Bay Country on beautiful Lake Manitouwabing.  Features many historic buildings, excellent golfing, year round waterfront homes and Cottages.  McKellar is approximately 15 minutes west of the Town of Parry Sound.  With summer swimming lessons, fishing and water activities, September Fall Fair, Novembers Hunter’s Dinner and snowmobiling, there is much to do in this thriving Community year round.


 

Town of PARRY SOUND

Parry Sound is approximately 2 hours north of Toronto and is accessed by highway 400; it sits on the shores of Georgian Bay and is known as the main access point for the 30,000 Islands.  Parry Sound offers the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the performing arts as well, it hosts the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame and is the home of the International Chamber Summer Music Festival.  The Festival of Sound.  There are a number of marinas from which cottages and islands fan out from.  Parry Sound recently completed a 85 million dollar health centre construction and many retail outlets have come to the area.
